Gulf Landscaping is more than just a gathering of leading suppliers attracting high level buyers and key influencers in this leading global city, it is an international meeting for those leading the development of Abu Dhabi and the wider Middle East’s landscape architecture.
For 2010 Gulf Landscaping will be co-located with
Interiors UAE, the UAE’s and wider Middle Eastern flagship event for the design led interiors sector. Set in the heart of the rapidly developing and hugely affluent UAE capital Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi has bucked the trend and resisted the global downturn.
At the heart of the city’s development is Plan Abu Dhabi 2030, driving the region's redevelopment to ensure the UAE's capital city continues to grow and meet the demands of this global city status.
As an individual and representative of Cracknell, participating in conferences is always a valuable experience, where many professional relationships are made and ideas exchanged. 2010 is believed to be the tipping point where water consumption will begin to outstrip supply. I will be discussing at the Seminar Theatre at Gulf Landscaping how the UAE's landscapes will adapt and respond to the water availability in the region.

The Emirates Green Building Council is an independent non-profit forum that shapes policies for the built environment and facilitates collaborative solutions to promote sustainable practices in the UAE. Landscaping is an area of high water consumption, the reduction of which is of particular interest to us. We are delighted to support the Gulf Landscaping exhibition which will look at ways in which this issue is being addressed.
